This week, I have a lunch duty. And ward check. And a presentation. And a report. And a bulletin. But these are not my main concern for I have worked like a cow for the past few weeks so these don't make my already miserable and fun-limited 20-something life miserable and fun-limited.
I'm on On-Call duty this week for the first time.
Which means I have to hold on to my phone and stand by during non-working hours. Some senior colleagues that i know of are dead serious at work as if everything is a matter of life and death, sometimes they scare the shit out of me for nothing. A teeny tiny green bean matter sounds like a big pizza problem. So I was told today to bring the phone along with me to the toilet if i have to.
Oh kay...Like pee half way then press the brake, hold pee and solve the caller's problem.
I need at least 3 alarm clocks to wake me up every morning, each rings at 5 minutes interval from the other. And I STILL can't hear anything at all. I'm not exactly sure how do I wake up to emergencies. So I asked. And to be very frank, I'm more worried about HOW TO WAKE UP and the consequences of not picking up calls rather than why they call.
The colleague told me the body will automatically adjust to light-sleep mode and we can't exactly fall into deep sleep for a week.
Oh kay...I'm sorry your body works this way. My body told me to sleep, switch off the phone and continue sleeping and set whoever wakes me up on fire.
What do you mean by "can't exactly fall into deep sleep"??
Once sleep then sleep la, what do you mean by "can't" fell into "deep sleep"??
How to "sleep a bit"??

I think what you need is a human alarm clock to pinch you so that you can wake up XD, then again maybe a dog to lick you until you awake .
I can exactly tell you what they mean by sleep a bit... tat is my situation these days...
Everytime fall asleep at nite the mind is still thinking of what going on either on the meeting this morning or the tasks have to be done by tml...
Sometime when sleeping the idea of solution to solve the problem in the morning come and straightaway will wake up...
